People always ask me…

"what kind of foundation do you use?"
"do you only use expensive products?"
"what time of bronzer do you use and where did you get it?"

and so on..

So I decided to talk about some of my favorite products, what I use, why I like them and where to get them !

First of all, I do not think you need all kinds of crazy expensive products to have a flawless look but I also think some things are worth splurging on.  That being said I have a mix of things, some extensive and some inexpensive.  The upside to spending more on makeup is that you get to test it, and when it comes to foundation you need to get the right color.  I cannot stand it when I see girls who clearly have on the wrong shade of makeup and it looks terrible.  When you go to a drugstore you don't get to try anything on or see what it looks like, you buy it and hope for the best.

I have tried a lot of things and can tell you first hand, just because it is more expensive does not mean it is better.  A perfect example is the concealer I use under my eyes.  I have pretty dark circles and I have been using the same concealer from Walmart for 3 years.  I went to m.a.c one time in search of something similar that might be better, none of their products even compared… so I've been sticking with Walmart.

Here we go !

Nars Foundation
So I have been using Nars foundation for over 3 years now.  I have tried a ton of drugstore ones as well as other name brand/expensive ones and this is hands down my all-time favorite.  It is light, not cake, and it feels great on my skin.  I have two bottles of M.A.C foundation and I don't really like it, it seems to have this orange undertone that I don't like and it makes it look like you have a lot of makeup on.
Obviously if you smear makeup all over your face it'll be noticeable but the Nars foundation is very natural looking.  I wear Nars sheer glow in Santa Fe, you can get this at Sephora, Macy's, Nordstrom, or any department store and it is around $50.

Two-Faced Primer
Honestly I don't use primer everyday and half the time I forget but every time I go to Sephora I get samples so I can try different ones. This makes my skin feel really nice and smooth and my makeup always looks amazing over it.  Available at Sephora.

** if you didn't know, when you go to Sephora they give you samples in little containers for free.  So you can try pretty much anything liquify, you just have to ask!

Hard Candy Concealer
This is my ride or die favorite concealer…and indeed it is from Walmart.  I have been using this for years and it covers everything!  They have a ton of different shades and I use the second lightest.  Available at Walmart for around $5

Too-Faced Bronzer
I just recently started using this bronzer and I love it.  It is the Milk Chocolate Soleil bronzer in Light/Medium and is made out of real cocoa.  It smells amazing and looks flawless.  Before this I was using Givenchy Bronzer and wasn't completely satisfied.  This stuff is great and would look good on a bunch of different skin tones.  Available at Sephora for around $40

Anastasia Brow Powder
I have been using this for over 2 years now and love it.  They recently changed the packaging to black, but it used to be silver and made of metal.  I just switched to a darker color than before because my hair is darker than it was and I currently use Ebony.  There is a lighter and darker color but I usually just use the darker one with a slanted brush to fill in my eyebrows.  Available at Sephora for around $25

M.A.C Eyeshadow/Highlight
I love this color as a highlight for under the eyebrows which I only do sometimes.  But I mostly use it in the inner corner of my eye or to line the bottom of my eyes under my lashes to give the illusion of bigger eyes.  This is the color Crystal Avalanche and is available at any M.A.C location

Revlon Liquid Eyeliner
I have been using this forever and whenever I buy a different one I am always pissed.  I like the bottle, it last forever, and the brush is pointy and easy to use.  I use this in Blackest Black and it should be available at any drugstore for around $6

Maybelline Mascara
You do not need an expensive mascara to have nice lashes. Period.  I use these cheap ones and my eyelashes always look great, Ive tried expensive ones, they are the exact same thing just in a fancier bottle. These should be around $5 each available at any drugstore.

Anastasia Brow Pencil
I have been using this for over 2 years and love it.  My only complaint is how expensive it is and that it runs out really quickly.  It is the perfect color, and it is super fine and pointy which makes it easy to outline and detail eyebrows.  It also has a little brush on one end to comb and shape your eyebrows. I use this in the color Brunette and it is available at Sephora and is around $23

M.A.C Lipliner
I just love this color and it is so vibrant and looks great under all shades of pink lipstick or even red lipstick to give a berry affect.  This is the color Dynamo and is available at any M.A.C counter for around $20

Baby Lips
Lasly but not least my addiction…baby lips.  I have at least 3 of each color and love them all.  I have these in all my bags and this is all I use everyday.  I used to be addicted to cherry chapstick but  when these came out I fell in love.  They have really good pigment and really hydrate my lips.  I have heard other people say they are terrible but I don't see how thats possible, its like chapstick.  I love them and won't be using anything else anytime soon.

I hope that helped !
