Exploring

Wish I had two eyebrows in this picture but oh well...

Of course I moved here knowing that I only had 2 friends, and by association their boyfriends but for the most part I was going to have make my own way.  I basically did that in Tampa but it wasn't exactly the same because I was dating someone so he was always there for me to talk to even though he didn't live there.

So here I am, a 22 year old girl in Denver.
I think I've already come along way but there is always more to do.  So far going downtown alone, and walking into a bar for a drink knowing that there would be no one to come and rescue me from social anxiety was a big deal for me.
I weathered the storm and realized it wasn't all that bad… actually it was invigorating.

I don't know that I'll make it a habit but at least now I know I'm perfectly capable.

My first drink alone at McCormicks & Schmicks downtown at the Oxford

Last night we had a game night at my friends boyfriends house and it was beyond fun… and it made me think….

The simplest things are usually the most enjoyable.

Drinking wine and licking tiny pieces of paper with unknown names written on them proved to be more entertaining than being taken to Burns.

Recommendations for anyone interested:  I absolutely love wine, and my love for it is only growing stronger.  Normally I drink white but I have been experimenting with some reds.  The Prince of Persia introduced me to Dreaming Tree and I absolutely love it!  If your looking for a good red I highly recommend this one.

The game we were playing is addictive and honestly I don't even know what the name of it is.  Basically you cut up little pieces of paper, or in our case rip up little pieces of paper because no one could find a scissor.  Then you pick a category, people is the best but you can narrow it down to Characters, Musicians, Actors, Historical figures ext.  Then everyone passes their paper to the right or left, you lick it, and stick it to your forehead.
On each persons turn they get to ask yes or no questions to try and figure out who they are
ex: Am I a man?  Am I white?

If the answer to your question is yes you get to keep asking until you get a no and then its the next persons turn.  If you think you know then you guess and hopefully you get it right.  Whoever guesses who they are first wins and then they're is one more round where everyone gets a hint about who they are and they get a chance to guess.

Honestly it is the funnest game ever.

Its addicting, we literally played like 15 rounds until about 2am.

I said my goodbyes and headed home, for a long hot shower and a cup of hot chocolate.

I absolutely love it here, it is beautiful, warm, and sunny during the day then cool and crisp at night.  Waking up this morning proved that its harder to get adjusted to a knew time zone than I thought.

I woke up at 8am and tried to go back to sleep, to no avail I started looking for houses because me and my friend are going t move in together.  It was beyond beautiful outside so I finally decided to try and start getting ready which meant another shower because I'm a clean freak and love showers.

I got out, laid on my bed and bam…. out cold.

I finally woke up around 2:30 which wasn't too bad and started to get ready.  I decided to explore a little and found a super cute coffee shop names Stella's CoffeeHaus.

Inside Stella's CoffeeHaus

It is literally the cutest coffee shop ever and a perfect place to do some writing.

Aso for the rest of the day… I'm still figuring that out.

Ive been toying with the idea of going to the movies…

alone.

AHHH, which is not exactly a fear but also not something I would ever do although I have heard its a really nice thing to do.  So we'll see how brave I'm feeling.

Ok let me get back to ogling sphinx cats online and drinking my caramel iced coffee.
